12th April 2011. Visit of professor Joel Cuello

US Professor Joel Cuello returned to the University of Arizona last week, after completing an intensive round of lectures at Palestine Polytechnic University for the students of the joint M.Sc. Biotechnology program, which is shared between Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron and Bethlehem University.

Professor Cuello is a tenure-track agricultural and biosystems engineer at the University of Arizona, Tucson U.S.A., who leads cutting edge research, funded by the DOE, NASA and USDA, amongst others. His expertise was sought by the Biotechnology Research Center (BRC) for its importance to the downstream translational application of biotechnology in the private sector, which is a strategic objective of the BRC.

Students and staff alike attended the course on “Business Aspects of Biotechnology”, which was given and examined entirely by Professor Cuello during his working visit. The completed course is an obligatory course within the M.Sc. program.
