12th April 2011. Visit of Dr. Mohamed Radhi with distinguished delegation of doctors from Beit-Jala Hospital

The BRC welcomed the visit of Mohamed Radhi, MD, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, who is a specialist in pediatric hematology and oncology supervising the building of a new oncology center.
 
Dr Mohamed Radhi brought with him a distinguished delegation of doctors from Beit-Jala Hospital to discuss mechanisms for interfacing the BRC’s molecular genetics expertise with the hospital’s oncology staff in preparation for the new oncology Center.
 
The delegation from Beit Jala hospital was composed of Dr Abdul Razaq Salhab, Head of the Department of Oncology, Dr Riad Sharim, Dr Mohamad Najajarah and Dr Nedal Al-Jebrini.
 
It was agreed that the BRC will be ready to assist the hospital’s technical staff by capacity building and training in the area of molecular diagnostic assay design and development, by earmarking specific problem areas suitable for an M.Sc. research project, within the framework of our joint M.Sc. program with the University of Bethlehem.
